The site is zoned for 10,000 GLA shopping, though I would suggest although this is a high-income area (20% of the houses are 300 sq m plus) it might be better to go for a more mixed use such as some shops, with a large supermarket and possible Econofoods, plus offices for medical personal, as there is nothing like this available in the area. For interest, we are working with the developer for the balance of the suburb as one of our partners, which will shortly result in a further 5000 stands including two major private schools.
Just to let you know that the owners have let me know that they will have a proposed layout for the site at the end of this month. It will be included 5000m² of shops including supermarket and chemist etc plus about 500m² of offices designed for medical people (ie including bathrooms etc) and about 200 residential units. We are looking at an inward facing scheme with parking in the centre and the offices, residential upstairs. The supermarket will have direct loading bays with the other shops getting supplies through the front door.
